Synopsis:

The Asia-Pacific region, long the world’s manufacturing powerhouse, now faces a transformed global landscape. Rising tariffs, shifting supply chains and slowing investment returns not only challenge traditional growth models but also open new pathways for innovation and regional cooperation.

This seminar will present the latest insights from two chapters of the IMF’s Regional Economic Outlook for Asia and the Pacific and explore how deeper trade integration, improved financial intermediation and more efficient capital allocation can power the next stage of inclusive and sustainable growth. By embracing openness, enhancing competitiveness and strengthening policy coordination, Asia can continue to drive global prosperity in an increasingly complex world.

Registration is required for this seminar. Please note that the seminar is held under Chatham House Rule.
