Singapore, 31 July 2025 – The East Asian Institute (EAI) at the National University of Singapore and the College of International Studies (KIC), Kyung Hee University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a collaborative partnership.
The MOU, signed on 7 July 2025 by Prof. Alfred Schipke, Director of EAI, and Prof Park Hahnkyu, Dean of KIC, aims to enhance academic cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in relation to the research activities and outreach efforts of the EAI’s Korea Centre.
“We are delighted to partner with the College of International Studies at Kyung Hee University to deepen research collaboration and academic exchange at a time when informed dialogue is more essential than ever,” said Prof Alfred Schipke, Director of the East Asian Institute, National University of Singapore.
Prof Park added: “We welcome the collaboration, which provides a meaningful opportunity to combine the expertise of both institutions in order to produce impactful research and insights on key policy issues and developments in East Asia.”
The collaboration will feature:
- An annual joint conference
- Visiting fellowships
- Potential joint research projects and publications
The collaboration aims to foster an open dialogue and exchange of ideas and a mutual understanding among academics and researchers from KIC and EAI, combining their expertise. It builds on previous joint activities that have been co-organized by KIC and EAI, including regular joint conferences.
新加坡国立大学东亚研究所与韩国庆熙大学国际研究学院建立合作关系
新加坡，2025 年 7 月 31 日——新加坡国立大学东亚研究所与韩国庆熙大学国际研究学院签署合作备忘录，以此建立双方合作关系。
此次于2025年7月7日签订的合作备忘录旨在加强双方的学术合作，尤其是与东亚研究所韩国中心相关的研究及推广活动。
席睿德教授指出：“在当前这个理性对话比以往更为重要的时刻，我们很高兴能够与庆熙大学国际研究学院建立合作关系，深化研究合作与学术交流。”
朴漢圭教授补充道：“我们对此次合作表示欢迎。这一合作将是个意义深远的机会，使两所研究所能够结合彼此的专业知识，以便就东亚关键政策和发展动态展开具有影响力的研究，并形成深刻见解。”
该合作将包括年度联席会议、访问奖学金，并且可能进行联合研究项目和发布出版物。
该合作旨在促进双方学者与研究员之间的对话、思想交流和相互理解，并且结合双方的专业知识。它基于双方之前共同组织的联合活动，如定期联合会议等。
