Synopsis:
Where are India and China in their respective semiconductor journeys?
Both China and India have been striving to jumpstart their semiconductor ecosystem for decades now, with China devoting more capital behind its efforts. Accordingly, both are at different stages of their semiconductor journey. China has been able to develop its semiconductor ecosystem more holistically, as evidenced by the massive and recent surge in Chinese legacy chip production and Huawei’s leading-edge chip-making efforts which are beginning to finally yield results. Conversely, India was a late comer to the world of semiconductors. Since announcing its incentive scheme in 2021, what progress has India made over the last few years? What are the trends in both China’s and India’s respective semiconductor journeys? The speaker will address these questions at the seminar.
Note:
Registration is required for this hybrid seminar, which will be held on the Chatham House rule.
Photography and videography may be carried out during the event by EAI for its print publications, digital platforms and/or marketing channels.
