Synopsis:

China is often presented through the lenses of both the Western and Chinese media. This seminar offers a nuanced perspective that bridges these narratives. Key topics include the current investability of the country, prospects for exports, investment and consumption, and the distinctive nature of Chinese innovation compared to that of the West. The seminar will also explore the implications of the Thucydides trap for China, the United States and middle powers, as well as potential positive and negative surprises in China’s development. Chinese perspectives of the world will also be discussed, providing participants with the latest, balanced and on the ground insights of China through an interactive format.

Note:

Registration is required for this seminar, which will be held on the Chatham House rule.
Photography and videography may be carried out during the event by EAI for its print publications, digital platforms and/or marketing channels.
