Yi Lin is a PhD Student at the Department of Architecture, National University of Singapore. Drawing from nearly two decades in Singapore’s Public Service, including work at the Urban Redevelopment Authority on projects in Marina Bay and Jurong Lake District, she hopes to contribute insights on placemaking and participatory design to the team’s research. Her experience in community engagement, state land administration, and organizational development informs her interest in understanding how shared public spaces can foster resilient communities.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Science in Information Studies. As an emerging researcher, she looks forward to learning alongside her colleagues while exploring the intersections of policy, practice, and community empowerment in urban commons.
